Initial MPI 2.1 list

Dear group,

Here is the list of people who responded to the advertisement on mpi-core that
they wanted to be part of the MPI-2 cleanup effort. For the most part
everyone is either a familiar person to us (although perhaps representing a
new institution), or a new person from a familiar institution.
Welcome! or Welcome Back! to the MPI Forum Community.

I propose that we try to mimic our successful procedures by email. One way to
do this would be for me to organize the topics on the MPI 2.1 Web page
(http://www.mpi-forum.org/mpi2_1) into "meeting topics" and then we have a
series of email "meetings", lasting, say, a week, in which we discuss things
and then vote. It takes two votes to finalize something. The topics could
correspond to the divisions in the page at
http://www-unix.mcs.anl.gov/~gropp/mpi/mpi-errata. We would eventually cover
all the assorted errors, inconsistencies, and ambiguities that have been
brought up over the last few years on the discussion lists. Those emails are
available for the most part from the web pabes.

If this is agreeable, I will try to post the first topic tomorrow, which should
probably the collection of obvious typos (might as well do the easy ones first.)

Comments welcome.

Regards,
Rusty
