It is possibly to fly in to Columbus, MS via Delta or Northwest.
I can provide additional details later. It is possible for
us to meet from 8am Thursday through 4pm Friday, and allow
people to make both east and west coast connections that same
afternoon, out of Columbus MS (15 minute drive from MSU ERC).
(I can also recommend hotels, as needed.)
For now, please give me a show of hands of those who would attend.
On our early count, tentative attendees are currently as follows:
Thom McMahon, Robert George, Anthony Skjellum (MSU)
Anna Rounbehler (Sky)
Robbie Babb (UD)
Steve Taylor (Caltech)
Arkady Kanevsky (MITRE)
Others expressed interest as well.
This is not an official MPI Forum meeting. We will be working
to advance the discussions we have at the Forum, and to get proposals
worked out, and details worked out, so we are in much better shape
for September. We will conduct the same level of debate and discussion
as it suitable for e-mail discussion in the MPI Forum, and present
our findings to the reflector and to the next official meeting.
Tentatively, there will also be a Boston-area MPI/RT meeting between
September and October, to show MPI/RT in progress to potential users.
Arkady Kanevsky and I are going to jointly organize that as well,
provided sufficient interest can be demonstrated (likely).
Thanks,
Tony Skjellum
PS A new, intermediate MPI/RT chapter will be out by August 5, and
minutes of the last meeting will be out sooner.
