Tentative agenda for I/O at the April MPI Forum meeting:

Second votes on sections with only one vote:

10.1 Introduction and Definitions
10.4.1 Data Access Introduction
10.4.5 Split Collective Data Access Routines
10.5 File Interoperability
10.6 Consistency and Semantics
10.7 Filetype Constructors
10.8 I/O Error Handling
10.9 I/O Error Classes
10.10 Examples

The following sections have had changes which should be "re-voted":

10.2 File Manipulation
10.3 File Views
10.4.2 Data Access with Explicit Offsets
10.4.3 Data Access with Individual File Pointers
10.4.4 Data Access with Shared File Pointers

The following are "good ideas" which will warrant some attention
(if there is completed text at the meeting):

EOF/file size - definition and consistency semantics
New file pointer update rules (change back to UNIX rules)
Accessing whole filetypes = eliminate "etypes"
Portable "holes"
SHARED_ORDERED rewrite

If there are additional items to be covered, please send them
to the list and I will add them to the agenda.

See you next week,

- bill
