Sorry, my question makes no sense, because Jeff
only wanted to change the typedefs for the callback functions.
He did not want to merge e.g. three MPI_*_ERRHANDLER_CREATE
routines to one routine. Therefore there is no problem with
layerability.
And therefore I explicitly support Jeff's proposal.
It reduces pages and the drawback marked by Ian seems
to be minor for me.
