What we did in MPI-F/UTE profiling is to dump at generation time of
a communicator
the global translation of the ranks. At send/recv time
we dump the local rank. Post mortem we then use translation table
dumbed earlier to generate the global rank from the local rank.
This is efficient, since we don't have to access objects
at run time.
