Hi folks -- I don't want anyone to get the wrong impression from my
last email containing my ancient callback-function based rendezvous.
I was *NOT* intending to resurrect my proposal or broaden the
discussion to include it.

I only included it in my msg (OK, I included too much) to emphasize
why I agree with the alternate proposal -- that it's simpler than the
current version and makes use of, rather than hiding, existing OS
functionality.

OK, I'll go back into lurker mode now.
