I have placed a new version of the dynamic process chapter
on Steve's ftp server. It is available at:

The major changes since the last draft that was sent to this
list are:
1. Sections on independent spawning, process signalling and
process monitoring were voted out at the last meeting.
2. There have been a large number of typo corrections
and minor clarifications. These were distributed and
discussed at the meeting.
3. Per requests at the last meeting, a few other clarifications
have been added (mostly advice to implementors or users). There
are delimited by October change markers.
The independent spawning stuff has been moved to
the "Journal of Development". More specifically, the
intent of the vote as I understand it was to say that
these routines are not part of MPI-2, but if you want
to implement this type of functionality, this is how
we think you should do it. This document is not yet
available.
Current voting status is:
All sections except the introduction (4.1) and the
"other routines" (4.5) have had two votes.
Inside section 4.5, the info proposal has had one
one vote and the others have not had a vote.
One thing that was requested at the meeting that has
not yet been done is to write up, as advice to implementors,
one or two possible implementations of the independent
process stuff. I will do this for the next draft.
