I'd like to dump on you guys an extra thing to look at when merging the
"info/hints" object manipulation functions. As it currently stands in
the spawn calls, the command line is still a string requiring the %
escaping tricks, while the info argument is placed into an object.

I think this gives us the worst of both worlds: % hacking trick _and_
ugly X-like creating objects out of strings. :-) I'd like to live with
only one ugliness, not both! Since the object approach won, how about
making the command line an object too and solving the % problem?

Aa another approach, all 3 objects (command line, info, hints) can be
merged into a single bag-of-strings object and the same functions
reused. Comments?
